PRESS RELEASE - SPIRIT OF MONTANARO CROSSES THE FINISH LINE AT 12.41 UTC

Spirit of Montanaro crosses the finish line at 12.41 UTC on the 22nd March 2010.

The Pytheas Club, made up of Adam Rackley and Jimmy Arnold crossed the finish line with a crossing time of 76 days, 23 hours and 49 minutes.

Adam found he was very efficient at catching Dorada and made a good feast and a refreshing change from the mundane day to day rations.

They had a chance meeting with Pete van Kets on board Nyamezela, had a swim and a chat mid ocean - as you do!

After having some minor power issues and having to hand pump their water for a while, and medical issues early on, Adam & Jimmy have pulled through these problems and succeeded in a very successful crossing.
